How does living matter make form?
I study how cellular behaviours, mechanical interactions and signalling collectively generate tissue-scale organisation and morphogenesis.
My research combines embryonic organoids, quantitative 3D microscopy, image analysis and physical modelling. I am particularly interested in how mechanics, collective dynamics and cell fate influence one another across scales.
01
Gastruloid Morphogenesis
From symmetry breaking and tissue flows to later multi-tissue organisation.
02
Quantitative Imaging
Deep 3D imaging, segmentation, tracking and multiscale analysis of complex tissues.
03
Tissue Rheology
How living tissues flow, relax, rearrange and reveal their effective material properties.
